Thanks to Colin for last weeks presentation, a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The amount of wildlife that Colin was able to find in such a small area was certainly impressive and it must have taken a lot of hours to both take the photos and organise the presentation. The tour of Italy that followed was very well done indeed and extremely entertaining. The narration and images were good and the whole thing was very interesting.

An evening to look forward to next Wednesday with another talk by one of our members, Colin Bloor.
Thank you to Malcolm for a very enjoyable evening, escaping to warmer climes and the beautiful birds and wildlife were just what was needed on a chilly Wednesday evening. It was nice to see such a good turnout with visitors from Desborough and Rothwell PS joining us and people from as far away as Somerset, Cornwall and even Washington DC in the USA.
Next week we can look forward to a presentation by our very own Malcolm Hupman. 'Where I Photograph Wildlife Abroad' this is a recently updated version of his talk which contains information and images from a trip to Extramadura in Spain in October 2019 and a trip to Gran Canaria that was taken last January.
All our events are currently via zoom, so you can enjoy from the comfort and safety of your sofa! 'What an excellent surprise we had last night. I think everybody agreed that it was a great start to the year thanks to everyone who contributed and made it so enjoyable. For those that couldn’t make it the evening went as follows. Irene Hupman started the evening with an AV showing past CPC evenings and outings set to guitar music. Next up was Christine Stafford with another AV his time featuring the local floods and a foggy walk which was also set to music this time with a more folky flavour. Colin Bloor really excelled himself with a most interesting talk about stone age remains a lot of them on Scottish Islands, which is worthy of a full evening presentation in the future. The first half was finished off in style with a series of photos taken by Len Halifax, many of them taken with his recently acquired macro lens. After a short break Malcolm Hupman gave us an AV set to classical music of some local landscape ideas. Andrei Van der Walt excelled himself with a series of before and after images. The before images were good but we were completely blown away by what Andrei had been able to do with them. Next up was what must have been a surprise to most people by Paul Matthews who showed us some 40 year old footage of when he was a professional wrestler. The evening was concluded by Ray Kilham with some excellent wildlife photography which included his LRPS Panel and all set to music. All the timings worked out perfectly with just time for a 10 minute break and the evening concluded just before 10pm.
