24th NOVEMBER 2021 - Monthly Competition Subject 'Open' Judge: Carol McNiven Young FRPS EFIAP BPE4 DPAGB www.cmyimages.co.uk Zoom has allowed us to have some excellent judges and last night was no exception when we had the privilege of the company Carol McNiven Young FRPS EFIAP BPE4 DPAGB who judged this month open subject competition. Carol not only gave us a very enjoyable evening but her judging was exceptional. It is a very difficult juggling act, marking and critiquing images and giving meaningful scores without making entrants of the lower scores despondent and I think she achieved all of these things in a very confidant, entertaining and professional way. I hope we have the pleasure of seeing Carol again at Corby and we must also give credit to Christine who made the booking. 3rd NOVEMBER 2021 - Members Evening Thank you everyone who contributed images and made yesterday a full and interesting evening. An evening which encouraged members to show photos that are not necessarily appropriate for competition. A relaxed and informal evening, giving members the opportunity to show and discuss their work, share where and why they took the photo and let us know what problems they had to overcome and even why things didn’t go as well as planned. A great opportunity to ask for or share advice. |
