15th DECEMBER 2021 - Monthly Competition Subject 'Twilight'
Judge: Nick Akers ARPS BPE3 It was great to see that the ten held back images all scoring 18 marks or more came from 9 different members in last nights competition. This shows that the overall standard of our images are getting better and I thank you all for making the effort throughout 2021. The individual winners were Gavin in first place with “Normanton Church” scoring 20 points. Ann a very close second also scoring 20 points with her “Elephant At Sunset”. Sandra was not far behind in third place with “The Dusk Drive” with 19 points. Sandra needs a special mention as her image was taken using a mobile phone and proves that you don’t always need an expensive camera and lens to take great images. I would also like to mention Barry and Christine who along with Gavin had the highest aggregate scores of the evening with a total of 53 points each. Congratulations to Gavin for 1st place 1st Gavin - 'Normanton Church' 20 points 2nd Ann - 'Elephant At Sunset' 20 points 3rd Sandra - 'The Dusk Drive' 19 points

8th DECEMBER 2021 - Christmas Dinner
At last, an opportunity for us all to meet up in person at The Sondes Arms, Rockingham, I'm sure all those who could attend would agree it was a good evening with an enjoyable meal and excellent company. Merry Christmas Everyone! 6th DECEMBER 2021 (MONDAY) - Photo Vision Challenge
A new Competition organised by Folkstone Camera Club and between 13 clubs throughout the UK. This was held last Monday and Corby scored one of the 4 top scoring images of 20 in the open section with Ann Dickson’s 'Herring Gulls Running On Water' Well done Ann! We also scored 18 with two other images in this section. Unfortunately this was only enough to obtain tenth place out of 13. We were only allowed one image per person over both sections and 6 of these were in the open section. The other two images were in the themed section 'Natural Waterscapes' this gave us a bit of a problem as we didn’t have a lot to chose from and images that might have done better in the open section were not used due to author limits. However we did manage an 18 with Janette Wilson’s 'Sunrise on the Loch'. Well done Jenette! This put us in 11th place. Congratulations go to Catchlight Camera Club who were the overall winners.
