Where I Photograph England - Malcolm Hupman
A great presentation by our Chairman Malcolm Hupman, of over 350 images of popular and lesser known locations from 23 English Counties providing ideas and inspiration. Packed full of beautiful images, from those taken right on our doorstep in Corby and surrounding villages to our stunning coastline and National Parks.
An evening of firsts, our first meeting at our new home in Corby and our first zoom hybrid. The evening gave us the chance to settle in to our new surroundings and iron out any technical problems. Hopefully our new Corby location will encourage some newcomers. We had an extremely good turn out for our AGM, almost 100% attendance. Thank you to all our members and committee for their continued support. We are looking forward to an enjoyable and successful year ahead.

16th MARCH 2021 - Annual Exhibition of the Vale of Evesham Photo 2021
We had a good and lively discussion on why images are successful in Exhibitions and Competitions while also looking at the stunning entries in the Vale of Evesham Exhibition Photo 2021 Nature Section. I felt we all learnt from it and hope some were encouraged to enter National Exhibitions themselves. This should also help us to make informed decisions when we come to selecting our External Competition entries later this year although you all did an excellent job in our last image selection pole.
After many happy years at Stanion Village Hall and the last 2 years mostly on zoom, Corby Photographic Club is pleased to announce we have a new home. Our meetings will now be held at The Church Hall, Danesholme Community Centre. It will be good to have Corby Photographic Club back in Corby and to get back to face to face meetings.
We will hold all our future indoor meetings here starting on Wednesday 6th April 2022.
8pm for 8.15pm start

9th MARCH 2022 - Smartphone Photography by Jeanette Lendon
A great talk from a great speaker with a great personality. Jeanette Lendon’s enthusiasm touched us all with her no-nonsense, often humorous, and very informative presentation on Smartphone Photography. Not only were we impressed with her photography we learnt a lot of techniques and tips which included post editing on the phone. We now have no excuses to miss a shot and will never again have a reason to say, “if only I had my camera with me”.
Smartphone photography - more than just a camera on a phone. See how the smartphone camera has evolved, and is no longer 'just a phone'. Learn how Jeanette went from a successful corporate and commercial photographer, to running her own smartphone photography masterclasses and not even owning a 'big' camera any more. She will also let you into to some of the tips and tricks of taking creative photos with your smartphone. Will the smartphone ever take over the DSLR??!!!
